Visit the Matterhorn and Klein Matterhorn

Ride the Gornergrat

The Gornegrat Bahn railway is Europe’s highest open air railway track. The track passes along 29 peaks, through ravines and pine forests offering you a view out of this world.

Go Skiing

Zermatt offers you 54 funiculars, Cable cars, lifts and 360 kilometers of pistes right in the shadow of the Matterhorn. You cannot find a better skiing point in Europe. The glaciers and snow blanketed slopes are even present in summer and host many ski events in the winter holiday season.

The Theodul Glacier region remains accessible for skiing throughout the year. Zermatt Ski season is very long in the Matterhorn glacier paradise.

Take the Rothorn Funicular

It offers you a view of all the highest peaks of the Valais Aps. The station for mountain activities and the restaurant on the summit makes the tour even better.

The old village of Zermatt is like an open air museum filled with 16th century timber houses and traditional vistas.
