Cortina D’Ampezzo is aptly named as the ‘Queen of Dolomites’, it has breathtaking vistas and natural wonders spread as far as the eye can see. It is the site of 1956 Winter Olympic Games as well as many other racing championships, Skiing Championships and World Cups.

Cortina D’Ampezzo resort of Cortina D’Ampezzo, Italy is the most famous and fashionable resort for skiing activities. It boasts of approximately 600 pistes individually served by 573 ski lifts. Other than this the place offers access to nearly 1000 km of downhill skiing. The place has something to offer for all; beginners, intermediate and expert skiers.

Cortina D’Ampezzo has three ski areas linked to it with easy access. Cristallo and Faloria are on the eastern side of town whereas Tofana is on the western side. A bus travels between them to link them. The Guargnè/Mietres area is a small section on the northern side for learners and children. It consists of a children’s ski school equipped with amusement slides and inflatables.

Tofana is the best place to start foe adult beginners with its 150 ski instructors. While the experiences skiers and snow boarders can head up to the Cristallo Range. If you are looking for a challenge than head to the Rio Gene or black Canalone Staunìes run. You can also hit the Black Olympia, the site of many world cup races.
