Bali has many historic, beautiful and stunning temples which stand as architectural wonders. The most iconic temple in Bali is the Tanah Lot temple standing on a rock surrounded by the sea. This temple pays homage to the guardian spirits of the water surrounding the island. Next comes the Ulun Danu Temple of Baratan Lake. It is dedicated to the goddess of the lake and is the most serene place on the whole island. Another stunning sight is the Uluwatu Temple perched on the edge of a cliff surrounded by the monkey forest.
